Arnolds Park, IA (KICD)–Historic Arnolds Park and the Iowa DNR will hosting a public meeting this Thursday to discuss a new pier at the Park.
HAPI General Manager Scott Pyle notes that “a few years ago there was a floating dock at the pier site owned by the DNR. The dock became damaged and the cost to repair the dock was more than the DNR could spend. In the interest of having public access at the site, HAPI began negotiations with the DNR to begin planning a new pier. Along with fishing, swimming and boating, the proposed structure would also add a venue for family reunions, weddings and other social gatherings.”
If you have input or would like to hear more information about the proposed pier you may attend Thursday night’s meeting in the Hedberg Theatre at 6:30 p.m.
