Okoboji, IA (KICD)–The Okoboji Foundation released $117,000 in grant funding at their annual meeting Friday night.
Foundation President Mary Freiborg tells KICD News that the three primary leadership grants went to the Lakes Area Hockey Association, Historic Arnolds Park, and the Pearson Lakes Art Center.
Over $13,000 will go to the Iowa Lakeside Laboratory Regents Resource Center for a Walking Trail along Little Millers Bay and nearly $3,300 will be coming to the Dickinson County Conservation Board to assist in the construction of an 18-hole disc golf course in Kenue Park near the Nature Center. These funds were raised through the Youth in Philanthropy project.
