Milford, IA (KICD)–Folks are taken to a time gone by upon entering the newly opened Okoboji Classic Cars Museum and showroom.
Owner Toby Shine tells KICD News this has been in the works for several years now.
The original intent of the building was to be a showroom for Shine’s vehicles. At full capacity there will be room for a couple of hundred cars.
Mechanic Bob Kirschbaum says they have been inundated with restoration projects.
Another facet of the museum is the setting, as there are recreated shops and murals of days gone by in Spencer and the Iowa Great Lakes. Artist Jack Rees says it takes people back to the 60’s.
Shine closed with the following.
Every car in the showroom is for sale with prices starting in the $7,500 range and going up from there. Hours are 10-5 Tuesday-Saturday. There is a $10 daily membership fee to go inside the showroom and museum with patrons given a $10 voucher to spend in the gift shop. Okoboji Classic Cars is located just west of Perkins in Milford on Highway 86.
