Sanborn, IA (KICD) — Two people are arrested after a traffic stop southwest of Sanborn.
Around 7:30 Tuesday evening, an O’Brien County Deputy stopped a vehicle in the 3300 mile of Polk Avenue. The driver, 46-year old Kevin Jennings of Cottage Grove, Minnesota ran from the vehicle, and after a short foot chase, was apprehended by the deputy.
After further investigation Jennings was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, interference with official acts, possession of a controlled substance – marijuana, possession of methamphetamine, possession of amphetamines and no drivers’ license.
A passenger, 28-year old Kimberly Broyles of Blue Mound, Kansas was also arrested & charged with possession of a controlled substance – marijuana, possession of methamphetamine, possession of amphetamines and possession
of drug paraphernalia.
It was further determined both were wanted on out of state warrants. Jennings on a Minnesota felony sex offender warrant and Broyles on a Kansas narcotics violation. Both were transported to the O’Brien County Jail and booked.
Broyles and Jennings bond was set at $3,000 each. Both face extradition by the respective states. Assisting at the scene was the O’Brien County K9 and Sanborn Police Department
