Mankato, MN (KICD) — Two people from Estherville were injured in a three vehicle accident in Minnesota.
The Minnesota State Patrol said the accident occurred Sunday afternoon, at the intersection of Highway 22 and Madison Avenue. 20-year old Ryan Jorgenson was driving a 2006 Chevy Tahoe, when it collided head-on, with a 2002 Toyota Camry, driven by 20-year old Eric Rooney of Inver Heights.
The force of the collision sent both vehicles into a 2008 Toyota RAV4, driven by 40-year old Sara Stow, of North Mankato, that was stopped at the traffic light.
Jorgenson and his mother, 45-year-old Wendy Jorgenson were both taken to Mayo Health Systems Hospital in Mankato with non-life threatening injuries. Another passenger, 11-year-old Jonathan Jorgenson was not injured.
Eric Rooney was also taken to the Mankato hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Stow was not injured.
Moderate damage was reported to Jorgenson’s vehicle. Severe damage was reported to Rooney’s car and minor damage was reported Stow’s vehicle.
The Mankato Police Department and Gold Cross Ambulance assisted.
