Doon, IA (MTN)–An Inwood man was killed following a Tuesday afternoon accident.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office says 79-year-old Gilbert and 76-year-old Betty Teunissen were traveling north on K-30 shortly after 5:00 in a 2011 Toyota Avalon. As they approached A-52 there was a semi truck in the southbound lane driven by 55-year-old Duane Middle of Rock Valley who was attempting to make a left-hand turn onto A-52. Gilbert died later at the Avera Hospital due to injuries received in the accident.
