Graettinger, IA (KICD)–A man was jailed early Saturday morning following a domestic assault outside of the Side Street Saloon in Graettinger.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office arrested 29-year-old Jordan Peterson for domestic assault causing bodily injury. Peterson was booked into Palo Alto County jail in anticipation of an appearance before a judge.
Storm Lake,IA (KICD)–Two women were arrested over the weekend for vandalizing a pair of vehicles.
The victim told Storm Lake Police that an ex-girlfriend had come to the apartment complex and was advised to leave. After the female left the victim found that their vehicle, which had been running and warming up, had been entered and vandalized. In addition, it appeared that sugar had been placed in the vehicle’s fuel tank. In addition, police found a second vehicle owned by the victim’s current girlfriend in the parking lot of the apartment complex with apparent sugar placed in its fuel tank.
Following an investigation police allege that the ex, 19-year-old Maria Hernandez Castillo, and 19-year-old Melissa Medina of Storm Lake had damaged the two vehicles causing approximately $500 to $1,000 damage to each vehicle.
Both women were charged with one count of 3rd Degree Burglary and two counts of Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree. They were both booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a $6,000 cash bond each.
Emmetsburg, IA (KICD)–Emmetsburg Police are investigating a pair of Saturday incidents
A 1999 Cadillac parked in the 1300 block of Broadway street was keyed and had its tires punctured. The damage is estimated at $2,000.
In the other incident a purse was stolen from a 2003 Saturn parked at the Wild Rose Casino parking lot. The passenger side window was broke. The purse and its contents were valued at $140.
Police continue to investigate both cases.
