Storm Lake, IA (KICD)–A Marathon woman is being held for US Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

An accident took place in the Storm Lake Hy-Vee parking lot on Saturday. One of the drivers, 52-year-old Carmen Hernandez, allegedly provided police with a Minnesota driver’s license which was determined to be fraudulent. Upon investigating further police allege they located in the vehicle a paystub with the fraudulent name on it reflecting that Hernandez was working under false identification at a business in Spirit Lake. Over $1,500 in cash was also seized.

Following an investigation Storm Lake Police arrested Hernandez Hernandez and charged her with a class D felony count of Forgery and Interference With Official Acts. She was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a $5,300 cash bond.

Granville, IA (KICD)–Sex abuse charges have been filed against a Red Oak man.

Early Sunday morning a victim of an apparent sexual assault came to the Sheldon Hospital to seek medical attention. The assault reportedly occurred sometime earlier that morning at a home in Granville.

Upon further investigation of this incident, Sioux County Deputies arrested 23-year-old Stewart Andersen and charged him with two counts of sexual abuse.

The O’ Brien County Sheriff’s Office and Sheldon Police Department assisted.

Storm Lake, IA (KICD) — A Sutherland man was arrested after a disturbance.

Storm Lake Police were called to the Renal Center at 1426 Lake Avenue just after 3 Monday afternoon. Upon arrival, officers were informed that 42-year old Darin Lowe, brought his mother into the Renal Center, hen allegedly began berating and yelling at staff, and in one instance, threatened to assault a staff member.Lowe was arrested without incident, in the parking lot of the Renal Center, . He was charged with 3rd Offense Public Intoxication, 2nd Degree Harassment, and Disorderly Conduct.

Lowe was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a $3300 bond. No injuries were reported
