Spencer, IA (KICD)–An Alton woman was arrested after her car was found in a ditch with two children inside.

Clay County Deputies were called to the intersection of 350th Street and 180th Avenue shortly after 3:00 Saturday morning. After investigation it was found that the two children in the car were not in proper child restraints.

26-year-old Nicole Holtz was booked into Clay County jail for operating while intoxicated, child endangerment, and failure to secure a child. Holtz was held to appear before the magistrate.

Spencer, IA (KICD)–The Clay County Sheriff’s Office has released details from an October 18th domestic assault.

After investigation it was found that 27-year-old Tyler Igou of Rossie had assaulted his wife. Igou was placed under arrest and was charged with Domestic Abuse Assault causing bodily injury.

Igou was held in the Clay County Jail to appear before the magistrate.

Spencer, IA (KICD)–A Spencer man was arrested Saturday for failure to comply as a sex offender.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says 47-year-old Gerald Busch entered school property in September without written permission from the school administrator or its designee.

Busch was booked into Clay County jail and held to appear before the Magistrate.

Storm Lake, IA (KICD)–A Storm Lake man was jailed after fighting with authorities and staff security at Malarky’s Night Club early Sunday morning.

Police arrived on scene to find security holding 38-year-old Luis Nunez on the floor near the dance floor. Police intervened and upon taking Nunez into custody, police allege he fought with and resisted officers. Nunez was removed from the night club by police and, upon being placed into a police vehicle, police report he continued to fight with officers. Police allege that Nunez kicked an officer in the face while being placed into the back seat of the squad car. Police subdued Nunez by spraying him with a chemical reagent. It is alleged that Nunez assaulted two security staff members at the night club prior to the arrival of Police.

After being treated for exposure to the chemical reagent Nunez was charged with Assault on a Peace Officer, 2 counts of Assault, Interference With Official Acts, Disorderly Conduct and Public Intoxication. He was booked into Buena Vista County jail on a $2,500 cash bond.

Storm Lake, IA (KICD)–A Sunday morning traffic stop led to drug charges against a Storm Lake man.

Storm Lake Police allege a passenger in the vehicle, 25-year-old JT Cunningham III, was in possession of a small quantity of marijuana.

Police arrested Cunningham and charged him with Possession of Marijuana 3rd Offense. He was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a $2,000 cash bond.

Primghar, IA (KICD)–A Hospers woman was arrested last week by the O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office.

41-year-old Julie Knight was arrested last Tuesday for 1st degree theft and four counts of fraudulent use of a credit card.

Knight was booked into O’Brien County jail and had a court appearance set for November 12th.

Spencer, IA (KICD)–The Clay County Sheriff’s Office is looking into a storage garage burglary that occurred earlier this month.

It was reported that sometime between Saturday, October 5th and Sunday, October 13th some gained access to the storage garage. Items stolen include a 12hp Toro snowblower with a shield, a Craftsman snowblower, a 10 inch cutoff saw, an airless paint sprayer, 2- shop vacs, a set of Dewalt hand tools, a cutting torch, an oxygen tank, an acetylene tank and an electronic keyboard.

This theft is currently under investigation and if anyone has knowledge or information regarding this incident, they are urged to contact the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheldon, IA (KICD)–Sheldon Police are investigating a burglary at Mastbergen Jewelry.

It is believed that the suspects gained limited access to the business by breaking a front display window sometime Wednesday evening or Thursday morning. The suspects created a hole in the window that was big enough for them to be able to reach inside and take several rings.

The Crime Dusters program is offering a $400 reward to anyone who provides information on this crime that leads to the arrest and conviction of the offenders.

Cylinder, IA (KICD)–Authorities are looking into some vandalism at Sportsman’s Park near Cylinder.

Sometime between last Sunday and Wednesday somebody tore down the backstops on the rifle ranges at the 50,100, and 200 yard markers beyond repair. This caused an estimated $500 worth of damage.

The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help from the public in identifying whomever is responsible.
