Storm Lake, IA (KICD)–A Spencer man was hospitalized following a Monday morning accident.

The Buena Vista County Sheriff’s Office reports that 23-year-old Nathan Hoepner was operating a backhoe, heading north on 180th Street towards 440th Street just before 9:30. The right side tires were too close to the side of the road, the dirt gave way, and the backhoe ended up in the east ditch where it overturned onto its right side.

Hoepner, who was extricated by mechanical means, was taken by Storm Lake Ambulance to Spencer Hospital with possible injuries.

Spencer, IA (KICD)–Two Spencer teens have been arrested on drug charges.

The Spencer Police Department arrested 19 year old Elisha Howe and 18 year old Dante Putnam after a traffic stop. According to police, they were charged with possesion of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

Both were placed into the Clay County Jail.

Ruthven, IA (KICD)–A Ruthven man has been arrested after fight in a local bar.

The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call at 7:40 Wednesday evening about a fight at Bully’s Bar. According to authorities, 32 year old William Bailey and another unidentified man were involved in an altercation when deputies arrived.

Bailey resisted deputies upon arrest and was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Public Intoxication, and Interference with Official Acts.

Bailey was booked into the Palo Alto Country Jail.

Storm Lake, IA (KICD)–A wanted Lakeside man has been arrested for delivering marijuana.

According to Storm Lake Police, an officer arrested 20-year-old Jaime Soria around five Wednesday evening. He recognized Soria walking near the intersection of West 7th and Ontario Street.

Soria was charged with Delivery of a Controlled Substance after allegedly selling marijuana to a police informant earlier this year.

Soria was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on $5,000 bond.

Webb, IA (KICD)–Drug charges were filed against a Webb man following a traffic stop.

According to a Clay County Deputy, 45-year-old Christopher Wood was arrested around three in the afternoon Tuesday for a revoked license. After further investigation, Wood had possession of drug paraphernalia.

Wood was charged with No Seatbelt, Failure to SR. Insurance, Possession of drug paraphernalia, and Driving While Revoked.

Wood was booked into the Clay County Jail to appear before the Magistrate.
