Storm Lake, IA (KICD)– Three flee from police on foot after traffic violation.

Late Sunday around midnight, Storm Lake police tried to stop a vehicle on Seneca Street. According to police, the vehicle allegedly pulled into a driveway on Cayuga Street when three people in the car fled on foot.

After a foot chase, police charged the driver, 18 year old Dalton Goodman of Storm Lake, with Driving While Suspended, Possession of Alcohol, and Interference With Official Acts.

Police also charged 20 year old Angelo Hawthorne of Albert City with Public Intoxication, Possession of Alcohol, and Interference with Official Acts.

Both men were booked into the county jail on $900 cash bond. A juvenile male was found this morning and charged with interference with official acts and possession of alcohol.

lreton, IA (KICD)–An lreton man was taken to a Sioux City hospital after being ejected from his vehicle.

According to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office,18 year old Agustin Jimenez was driving a 1999 Ford Ranger west from Ireton when he lost control and rolled the vehicle into the north ditch. Jimenez was ejected from the vehicle and injured.

The Hawarden ambulance took Jimenez to Mercy Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Agencies assisting include Hawarden Police and Fire. Authorities are still investigating the accident.

Rock Rapids, IA (KICD)–Two were injured following an early Friday morning accident.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office says 20-year-old Haley Heusinkveld was heading west on county blacktop A-46 at approximately 12:15 a.m. Haley was talking to her passenger and was distracted and not see the stop sign at the intersection of L-14 and A-46 and she went thru the stop sign. The road turned to a gravel road and Haley was unable to control her vehicle. She lost control of her vehicle, and it slid into the north ditch where it flipped over onto its top.

Haley and her passenger sustained possible injuries. She was cited for failure to maintain control.

Storm Lake, IA (KICD)–A Storm Lake sex offender was found on school property.

According to Storm Lake police, 48 year old Merle Mueggenberg was at the St. Mary’s baseball and softball fields Thursday evening. Police allege Mueggenberg violated the conditions of the Sexual Offender Registry.

Mueggenberg was arrested Friday and charged with Failure to Comply With the Sex Offender Registry. Mueggenberg has been booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a $2,000 cash bond.

Storm Lake, IA (KICD)–A report of suspicious people at Sunrise Park brought out Storm Lake Police Sunday evening.

It is alleged that 20-year-old Demetrius Trimble and 21-year-old Derrick Bolden were in possession of marijuana and were smoking it in the park.

Both men were charged with Possession of Marijuana and Gathering Where Controlled Substances are Used. Bolden was also charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Bolden was held in Buena Vista County jail on a $2,300 cash bond. Trimble’s bond was set at $2,000 cash.

Storm Lake, IA (KICD)–Two Storm Lake men were caught with marijuana following a Friday traffic stop.

Storm Lake Police impounded Goodman’s vehicle after it was found he had a suspended drivers license. A subsequent search turned up marijuana packaged for street sales in the vehicle. Goodman and a passenger, 18-year-old Alexander Ordonez, were taken to the police station for questioning.

Following investigation police charged Goodman and Ordonez each with with a class D felony count of Possession of Marijuana With Intent to Deliver. They were both booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a $5,000 cash bond each.
