Spencer, IA (KICD)–The Clay County Sheriff’s Office is looking for information from a Tuesday morning hit & run.

33-year-old Bradley Pitts of Spencer was traveling west on Highway 18 in a 2013 Peterbilt owned by the city of Spencer at 10:24 a.m. Pitts was slowing to turn south onto 200th Avenue when an unknown, white straight truck traveling west, passed and sideswiped Pitts and left the scene.

West Bend, IA (KICD)–Authorities are investigating vandalism and a possible theft attempt at the West Bend Grotto.

Palo Alto County Deputies determined on Wednesday that someone tried to remove a statue from The Grotto causing damage to the stature and some rocks around the area which had been broken off. The damage estimate is approximately $1,000.

Graettinger, IA (KICD)–A Tuesday afternoon alcohol induced accident in Graettinger totalled a vehicle.

The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office says Vicky Peterson of Graettinger struck a tree in the intersection after leaving the roadway in the 200 block of East Pattison Street. Deputies were called out at 5:30 p.m.

Peterson was arrested for OWI 1st offense and failure to maintain control. She refused medical treatment on scene.

Graettinger Fire and Ambulance assisted.

Graettinger, IA (KICD)–A Graettinger man has been charged for shooting a dog.

Back on August 13th the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office investigated a report of a dog that had been shot. Following investigation and execution of a search warrant last Friday it was alleged that 74-year-old Jimmy Bates shot the dog after it walked onto his property.

Bates was arrested Tuesday for Animal Abuse and a Graettinger City Ordinance of Discharging Weapons. 32-year-old Stephanie Hanson of Graettinger was charged with a Graettinger City Code violation of Dog At Large.

Storm Lake, IA (KICD)–A Spencer man turned himself in to Storm Lake Police on Wednesday.

Police were provided security video footage of an alleged shoplifting incident which occurred on August 4th at the Storm Lake Wal-Mart Store. 21-year-old Matthew Howe stole a stereo speaker with a value of $210.

Howe was charged with 4th degree theft and held on a $1,000 cash bond in Buena Vista County Jail.

Primghar, IA (KICD)–Four individuals were arrested on drug charges Tuesday evening in Primghar following a residence search.

Sheriff’s deputies arrested 24-year-old Elizabeth Heiller of Sheldon, 29-year-old Troy Krause and 19-year-old Allyson Niichel of Primghar, and 18-year-old Jordan Wichers of Rock Valley for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.All four were transported to the O’Brien County Jail and released the following morning after all pleaded guilty before the County Magistrate. Each were fined $100 plus court costs.
