Estherville, IA (KICD)–An Estherville man has been arrested for a 5th OWI offense.

Estherville Police went to Casey’s East early Friday morning and found 52-year-old Troy Dahl slumped over the steering wheel of the vehicle. After an investigation, officers determined Dahl had driven the vehicle to Casey’s under the influence.

He was charged with OWI 5th offense, Driving while barred habitual offender, no insurance, Operation without interlock device.

He was placed in the Emmet county Jail on a $25,000 bond.

Estherville, IA (KICD)–Police arrest a man wanted on 3 warrants.

Police arrested 21-year-old Trent Hereen at 2:20 Sunday afternoon. He was wanted from a domestic assault investigation that began July 23rd.

He was charged with Domestic Abuse assault, Child endangerment, and false imprisonment. He was taken to the Emmet County Jail and released after posting bond.

Estherville, IA (KICD)–An Estherville man was arrested after taking a vehicle from the hospital.

Police met with a female at the Avera Holy Family Hospital Sunday morning before 2. She advised police that her vehicle had been taken when she was assisting a family member in the emergency room.

A few minutes later, police went to 1739 1st Avenue North in response to a disturbance. They found a broken out window with blood on it and arrested 27-year-old Julio Barjas at the residence.

After an investigation, he was charged with Operation without Owners consent, OWI, Trespass, and Criminal Mischief 3rd degree.

He was taken to the Emmet County Jail and was released on bond after appearing before the magistrate.

Estherville, IA (KICD)–Estherville police arrested a man trespassing.

Friday night at 8, police arrived a 1228 1st Ave South in response to a disturbance. Following an investigation, 56-year-old James Rask had trespassed on the property and was also charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was taken to the Emmet County Jail and released on $650 bond.

Estherville, IA (KICD)–Police arrest an Estherville woman wanted on two outstanding warrants.

57-year-old Deb Acord was arrested Friday morning at 11:45 on Dependent adult abuse and ongoing criminal conduct. According to authorities, Acord had taken a large amount of money from an elderly victim between November 2012 and May 2013.

She was taken to the Emmet County Jail and was released after posting bond.

Boyden, IA (KICD)–Authorities are investigating a weekend burglary at Brunsting Insurance Agency in Boyden.

The burglary likely occurred between 12:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. on Sunday. It discovered that the perpetrator(s) forced their way into the business and stole property.

Hull, IA (KICD)–A Hull man has been arrested for assault.

On Saturday the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office investigated a report of an assault that occurred at a residence on Linden Street in Hull. A 16-year-old female reported that she was touched inappropriately by 46-year-old Todd Bonestroo earlier in the day.

Bonestroo was arrested for assault.
