Jackson, MN (KICD) — A residential search resulted in several drug related items being found.

The Jackson County Sheriffs Office executed the search Wednesday morning at the home of Joshua McNabb in Weimer Township

Items found and seized include approximately one pound of marijuana, $2200 in cash which was found next to a scale, and plastic baggies with suspected marijuana.

McNabb was not immediately arrested or taken into custody, due to extenuating circumstances. It was said formal charges are going to be filed at a later date.

Storm Lake, IA (KICD)–Child endangerment charges have been filed against a Storm Lake man.

The Storm Lake Police Department conducted a foot patrol through the Maplewood East apartment Complex on Wednesday afternoon, when officers heard screaming coming from an apartment.

Police made contact with the occupants and allege that 23-year-old Fabian Garcia was holding his three year old child at arms length and screaming profanities and derogatory statements at the small child. Upon observing officers, police allege that Garcia dropped his child to the ground.

Police arrested Garcia and charged him with Child Endangerment and Disorderly Conduct. He was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a $1,300 cash bond.

The child no apparent physical injuries.

A report was filed with the Iowa Department.

Boyden, IA (KICD)–A Rock Rapids man was taken to the hospital after a Wednesday morning accident.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office was called out seven and one-half miles northwest of Boyden on 270th Street at 9:48 a.m. 30-year-old Daniel Newby was driving a 2000 Sterling cement truck eastbound on 270th Street. Newby began making a right turn onto a farm driveway when the rear wheels entered the ditch and the truck rolled onto its side.

Newby was transported to the Sheldon Hospital by the Boyden Ambulance for treatment of his injuries.

Emmetsburg, IA (KICD) — Palo Alto County authorities are looking for information on a case.

The Palo Alto County Sheriffs Office took a report of damage to a corn field, which occurred during the overnight hours of July 15th to July 16th. The corn field that received the damage was located in Highland Township, and is owned by Dale Sundall.

It’s determined the amount of damage from the vehicle driving through is estimated at $1000. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Palo Alto County Sheriffs Office
