Spencer, IA (KICD)–A Spencer man has been charged with making terroristic threats.

Spencer Police arrested 45-year-old Randy Newcomb after allegedly leaving messages that he was going to burn a house down. The messages were left Thursday to a person he had a disagreement with.

Newcomb was taken into custody Sunday and placed into the Clay County Jail.

Storm Lake, IA (KICD)–Storm Lake Police were called to a disturbance on Saturday afternoon.

Authorities met on scene with 18-year-old Marina Tellez who had a wound on her face. Buena Vista Regional Medical Center arrived and took her to the hospital for treatment. Through investigation police determined that 32-year-old Erika Larios was also involved in the disturbance.

It is alleged that Tellez and Larios threw several items at each other and punched each other. At one point Tellez grabbed Larios at which time Larios acquired a pair of kitchen tongs and jabbed Tellez in the face with the tongs.

Larios was charged with Domestic Assault While Displaying a Dangerous Weapon. Tellez was charged with Domestic Assault. Both were booked into Buena Vista County jail and held without bond.

After an investigation, police allege Lee left the child home alone earlier in the afternoon when the kid didn’t want to go to daycare.

Lee was charged with Child Endangerment and booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a $2,000 bond.

The child was released into the custody of his stepmother and a report was filed with the Iowa Department of Human Services.

Storm Lake, IA (KICD)–A wanted Storm Lake woman was arrested Friday afternoon.

32-year-old Maria Farias-Nunez was wanted on a Bond Revocation arrant reference Burglary 2nd Degree, Burglary 3rd Degree, Operating Without Owner’s Consent, and Driving While Barred. She was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a $16,000.00 cash bond.

Windom, MN (KICD)–A fourth of July shooting accident sends a Windom woman to the hospital.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office investigated a report of a gunshot victim at the Windom Hospital around four in the afternoon Thursday.

69-year-old Norma Rosin was taken to the hospital after her husband 68-year-old Dennis Rosin struck her in the arm with a single pellet from a .410 shotgun. He was trying to destroy raccoons doing damage in their machine shed when the accident occurred.

Norma Rosin was treated for her injury and released from the hospital.

Storm Lake, IA (KICD)–A Storm Lake man was held without bond after threatening to stab his partner.

The male victim told Police that 25-year-old Matthew Bonk allegedly grabbed his throat following an argument at Malarky’s Night club earlier in the evening. Night club staff intervened and separated the two. Upon returning to their residence Bonk allegedly threatened to stab the victim when he fell asleep.

Following an investigation police arrested Bonk and charged him with 1st Degree Harassment and Domestic Assault. He was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail and held without bond.

Spencer, IA (KICD)–A Fostoria man has been jailed for failure to register as a sex offender.

27-year-old Brady Wee was arrested last Thursday and was booked into Clay County jail.

Spencer, IA (KICD)–A Spirit Lake man wanted by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office was apprehended last week.

Clay County Deputies took custody of 19-year-old Trevor Bissell from the Milford Police Department. He was wanted on an outstanding warrant out of Clay County for Second Degree Theft.

Bissell was transported to the Clay County and held on a $5,000 Bond.

Lake Park, IA (KICD)–A July 4th accident remains under investigation by the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office.

30-year-old Josh Boetel of Lake Park was driving a 2008 Harley Davidson Motorcycle eastbound in the 1900 block of Highway 9 at approximately 11:13 a.m. He came upon several vehicles that had abruptly stopped ahead of him and was unable to stop in time and collided with the back of a 2010 Ford F-150 driven by 40-year-old Kyle Wassenaar of Orange City.Boetel was transported by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare with non-incapacitating injuries. Wassenaar was uninjured.

Hospers, IA (KICD)–Alcohol is considered to be a factor in a Saturday morning personal injury accident.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office says 19-year-old Lucas Abler of Granville was driving a 1996 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme southbound on Log Avenue, two miles south of Hospers, at 4:40 a.m. He lost control and entered the east ditch where his car overturned.

Abler was transported to the Orange City Hospital by the Hospers ambulance and later airlifted to Sioux Falls for incapacitating injuries. He was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident and was cited.
