Spencer, IA (KICD)–Five different acts will perform for free at the DISH Plaza at this year’s Clay County Fair.
Evening shows on the DISH Plaza are a new addition to free entertainment for 2013. These shows provide the perfect opportunity to come out to the fairgrounds after work and still catch some free entertainment. Gate admission after 5:00pm is only $6.00.
Heart Song will have shows September 7-8. The group’s inspiring set list includes contemporary, country, original gospel music, and classic church favorites.
Island Time, a steel drum band, will have three performances September 9-11. The “Trop-Rock” duo will have audiences dancing with their vocals and instrumentals on steel drums, guitar, and various percussion.
September 12th will feature the Kids Pedal Pull. The same night as the NTPA Truck and Tractor Pull, the kids pull gives youngsters a chance compete just like the big tractors.
Glenn Henriksen will entertain audiences with his talent on the piano September 13-14. Glenn’s repertoire includes classical, jazz, pop, rock, county, Latin, and gospel music.
American Pie, a 50’s & 60’s band, will entertain audiences September 15. The husband and wife team will lead a fun night of reminiscing back with 50’s and 60’s favorites and well as a salute to classic country music.
Performing on The DISH Plaza daily is comedian Greg Frisbee. His mix of magic and juggling infused with comedy is the perfect show for all ages. Frisbee will perform twice each afternoon the entire run of the Fair.
