Fostoria, IA (KICD) — Law enforcement conducts a search of a Fostoria home
On October 3rd, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office and members of the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task force, served a search warrant at 312 and 314 NW 1st Street in Fostoria, IA. Members of the Wright County Sheriff’s Office, Iowa DCI and the Mason City Police Dept. assisted with the execution of the warrant.
More than 15 items were seized for evidentiary purposes during the search, including personal computers, laptop computers, cell phones and miscellaneous computer related items. The items will be examined by a computer forensics expert to determine if they were used in violation of laws prohibiting internet crimes against children.
Officers controlled the residence for approximately four hours before concluding the search. No arrests have been made in connection with the warrant but charges are pending based on the results of the forensic examination.
