Estherville, IA (KICD) — A Fort Dodge woman is arrested on numerous charges following a Thursday traffic stop.
Around 11:20-pm, Estherville Police stopped a motor vehicle for suspicion of Operating While Intoxicated. The driver, 24-year old Erica Reader, refused to cooperate with the officers’ investigation.
During the the officers attempt to speak with Reader, she locked the officers out of the car and was eventually forcibly removed. Reader was arrested and charged with Interference with Official Acts, Operating While Intoxicated, and Driving While Suspended.
Upon arrival at the Emmet County Jail, Reader continued to be combative, and was eventually also charged with Assault on a Corrections Officer, by the Emmet County Sheriffs Department
Reader was taken before a judge and remains in the Emmet County Jail with a bond of $2,000. She was also found to have an outstanding warrant from Webster County for Domestic Abuse with a $2000 cash or surety bond.
