Sioux Valley, MN (KICD) — A Jackson woman is injured in a deer hunting accident.
The Jackson County Sheriffs Office said around 2:20 Monday afternoon, in Minneota Township, a group of deer hunters were walking a grove on an abandoned farm. One person was walking through the grove, while the others were posting. As a deer ran between two hunters, shots were fired.
As a result, 58-year old Nancy Bass suffered a gunshot wound to her lower leg. she received emergency treatment on scene, then was transported to Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake, with non-life threatening injuries.
