Jackson, MN (KICD) — A Lakefield man is sentenced to prison on child pornography charges.
On Tuesday afternoon, in Fifth Judicial District Court, Judge Linda Titus sentenced 40-year old Loren Gilmore, after he pled guilty on two counts of Dissemination of Child Pornography and two counts of Possession of Child Pornography.
Gilmore received a 7 year concurrent sentence, and must serve at least two years in the St Cloud Correctional Facility. The prison term is to be followed by a maximum 1 year of supervised release.
Storm Lake, IA (KICD)–A Storm Lake man will spend more than five years in federal prison following a May guilty plea to conspiring to manufacture and distribute methamphetamine.
43-year-old Rodney Brock admitted his involvement in a conspiracy from about July 2011 through October 2012 that manufactured and distributed at least 50 grams of actual (pure) methamphetamine. According to pseudoephedrine purchase logs obtained in the investigation, starting in July 2011 through October 2012 Brock himself acquired at least 34.9 grams of pseudoephedrine for the manufacture of methamphetamine, and associates of Brock acquired at least 55 grams of pseudoephedrine for the manufacture of methamphetamine by Brock. On July 5, 2012, law enforcement officers executed a search warrant at Brock’s residence and seized a number of items indicative of methamphetamine manufacturing.
Brock was sentenced to 66 months’ imprisonment and must also serve a five-year term of supervised release after the prison term.

Orange City, IA (KICD)–An Orange City man pleaded guilty and was sentenced on Monday on drug charges in Sioux County District Court.
This case arose on March 28th when 18-year-old Andrew Hemmelman delivered five oxycodone pills and a small amount of marijuana to an undercover informant monitored by officers with the Orange City Police Department and the Sioux County Sheriff’s Department. The drug transaction occurred at Windmill Park in downtown Orange City and Hemmelman was arrested minutes later by the Orange City Police Department. Hemmelman has been held in the Sioux County Jail since the time of his arrest.
Hemmelman was granted a deferred judgment on a class C felony count of Delivery of Oxycodone and was placed on probation for three years. He was sentenced to 180 days in the Sioux County Jail with all but 30 days suspended on the possession of marijuana charge. As special conditions of probation, Defendant must reside at the Residential Treatment Facility in Sheldon until maximum benefits have been achieved and he must remain in the county jail pending bed space availability. Hemmelman must also complete a Drug Court Program.
Orange City, IA (KICD)–A Rock Valley man was sentenced on a 3rd degree burglary charge in Sioux County District Court on Monday.
The victim’s bank in Rock Valley contacted him in March to report he was overdrawn on his farm checking account. The victim investigated and determined that two blank checks had been stolen from his residence, forged, and cashed at two area banks for $5,000. Premier Bank in Rock Valley covered the victim’s loss. 20-year-old Marcus Negaard confessed to breaking into his brother’s residence and stealing the checks.
Negaard was granted a deferred judgment and he was placed on probation for three years. Negaard must reside at the Residential Treatment Facility in Sheldon until maximum benefits have been achieved and he must remain in the county jail pending bed space availability. he was further ordered to make restitution to Premier Bank.
