Corridor Business Recognition Luncheon Recap

Spencer, IA (KICD)–The Iowa Lakes Corridor’s annual Business Recognition Luncheon celebrated the region’s entrepreneurial spirit and businesses big and small.

The 2013 Dream Big Grow Here Award went to Crown Clinics of Royal.  Sue Brugman tells KICD News they are hoping to use the $5,000 prize to purchase lab equipment.

The Entrepreneur of the Year Award went to Dakota Pak of Estherville.  Amy Skinner says they got their business started back in 2002 by mortgaging the family’s home.

Polaris General Manager Brian Hines spoke on winning the Large Business of the Year Award.

The Small Business of the Year Award went to Okoboji Wines.  Owner Mark Reed talked about how they got started.

A record crowd of around 250 were in attendance for this year’s Business Recognition Luncheon.
