City Election Openings in Clay County

Spencer, IA (KICD)–School Board elections will be held statewide one week from today.

City elections will follow on November 5th with a number of positions on the ballot in Clay County. The filing period is open for the next couple of weeks.

In Spencer spots on the ballot this year include Mayor, Ward 1,3, and 5 on the city council, and an at large council seat. George Kruger has noted he will not run again in Ward 1. There are also two open seats on the Spencer Hospital Board of Trustees on the ballot.

The cities of Royal, Dickens, Everly, each have a pair of city council spots and the Mayor’s post on the ballot. Fostoria, Peterson, and Webb all have three open city council seats and Mayor up for grabs. Gillett Grove, Greenville, and Rossie each has five city council spots to fill and the position of Mayor up for a vote.
