Arnolds Park, IA (KICD)–The Northwest Iowa Down Syndrome Society will host their 8th annual Buddy Walk this Sunday at Historic Arnolds Park Amusement Park and Lake Okoboji.
Society President Scott Hallgren tells KICD News that the Buddy Walk serves as their largest fundraiser with proceeds used to promote education and advocacy for those with Down syndrome throughout northwest Iowa.
Registration and a silent auction begins at 1:00 p.m. in the Majestic Pavilion with the Buddy Walk starting at 1:30 and walking along the bike trail by Lake Okoboji. Ice cream social follows the Walk at the Nutty Bar Stand / Ice Cream Shoppe just across the street from The Pavilion. Arnolds Park Amusement Park will then open from 2-5 with a special excursion on the Queen II on Lake Okoboji at 3:00.
Individual registration is $12.00 per person and family registration for all members of your immediate family is $35.00 per family. Team registration for teams up to 10 people is $60.00. All registration fees include a Buddy Walk t-shirt.
