Bomb Threat Court Date

Algona, IA (KICD) — A man who is charged after making a bomb threat as part of a bank robbery attempt is scheduled for a December court appearance.

According to court records, 27-year old William Garrett is facing charges of 2 counts of 2nd degree robbery, both class C felonies, and a count of terrorism, a class D felony, and is planning on enter a guilty plea to a charge, although it’s not known which charge the plea is being entered against, December 16th, in Kossuth County Court.

Garrett also faces charges of two counts of 2nd degree theft, both class D felonies, and carrying a weapon, an aggravated misdemeanor, in Webster County.  The Kossuth County charges stem from the incident where Garrett and another man allegedly called in a bomb threat against an Algona school so they could attempt to rob a bank in Fenton.
