Paullina, IA (KICD) — Two Paullina men are arrested on drug charges.
On Wednesday, the O’Brien County Sheriffs Office executed arrest warrants on 32-year old Joshua Stanley and 29-year old David Igou, on suspicion of distributing methamphetamine, after an extended investigation by the Sheriffs Office, the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement and the Iowa Great Lakes Drug Task Force.
Stanley was charged with Distribution of Methamphetamine and Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine, both class C felonies. Igou was charged with Distribution of Methamphetamine, a class C felony. Stanley and Igou were both booked into the O’Brien County Jail and held on bond.
Estherville, IA (KICD) — A Ringsted woman faces multiple drug charges after a traffic stop.
The Emmet County Sheriffs Office says the traffic stop was initiated shortly after noon Wednesday by a deputy at the intersection of 240th Street and 550th Avenue in Ringsted. The driver, 44-year old Lori Mortenson had two active warrants out for her arrest and was then taken into custody.
Upon further investigation, Mortenson was found to be in possession of two small bags of methamphetamine, totalling 5.7 grams, along with a small amount of marijuana, a prescription drug, hydrocodone which was not hers, a scale and several baggies.
Mortenson was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance With Intent to Deliver-Meth, a class B felony; No Drug Tax Stamp, a class D felony; Possession of Marijuana-3rd offense, Possession of a Schedule Three Controlled Substance Without Permission and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Mortenson was being held in the Emmet County Jail on $33,000 cash or surety bond.
