Spirit Lake, IA (KICD)–A number of drug charges were filed Friday after Spirit Lake Police executed a search warrant.

Police received information of illegal drug activity at 2707 Adams Avenue Apartment #8. A search of the home turned up what was believed to be meth, marijuana, drug paraphernalia including 39 syringes, pipes, a pot grinder, zig zags, and a large amount of cash. The two residents of the home were subsequently jailed.

25-year-old McKenzie McConnell was charged with a class D felony count of 4th offense meth possession, possession of marijuana 4th offense, possession of drug paraphernalia, and public intoxication.

29-year-old Michael Lorenzen was charged with possession of marijuana, prohibited acts, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Dickinson County Deputies assisted.

Spencer, IA (KICD) — Two are arrested after the discovery of a suspicious vehicle.

Around 2:20 Thursday morning, a Clay County Deputy came upon a suspicious vehicle at Hawk Valley Nature Area. Upon investigation, there were two occupants, 18-year old Reece Logue of Dickens and 30-year old Curtis Tripp of Spencer.

Tripp had an O’ Brien County warrant out on him. further investigation found multiple drug paraphernalia items, along with marijuana and methamphetamine. Two concealed weapons were also located.

As a result, Logue and Tripp were both arrested and taken to the Clay County Jail. Tripp was charged with the warrant, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He’s being held on a $6500 bond. Logue was charged with 2 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, 4 counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and 2 counts of Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and is being held on a $7800 bond.

Spirit Lake, IA (KICD)–A Milford woman was arrested Sunday on drug charges.

The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office lists Katelyn Houser as being booked on charges of possession of marijuana and a prescription drug.

Jackson, MN (KICD) — A traffic stop results in the arrest of a Wisconsin man.

The Jackson County Sheriffs Office said a deputy made the traffic stop of a vehicle for speeding Wednesday, in Des Moines Township, southeast of Jackson. As he deputy went to talk to the driver, he noticed the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.

The driver, 30-year old John Szymanski of LaCrosse gave deputies permission to search the vehicle, which produced methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. As a result, Szymanski was arrested and charged with 5th degree felony Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Speeding.
Syzmanski was booked into the Jackson County Jail on a $6500 bond.

Webb, IA (KICD)–A Webb man was arrested following a domestic disturbance.

Clay County Deputies were called to the Spencer Hospital Saturday morning to investigate an incident that occurred Friday night in rural Webb.

39-year-old Reuben Ayers was subsequently jailed for Domestic Abuse Assault. He was held and later transported to Buena Vista County for an outstanding mittimus.

Boyden, IA (KICD)–A Worthington man was arrested last week for using the identity of another person to gain employment.

33-year-old Santos Sorto was working at SIG International in Boyden under the false identity,

Sorto was jailed for identity theft and forgery by the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office.
