Ames, IA (KICD)–Four airports in the KICD listening area are in line for funding following approval of the fiscal year 2014 State Aviation Program by the Iowa Transportation Commission.
The Emmetsburg Municipal Airport will receive $100,000 towards the $529,170 of constructing a 80-by-100 foot hangar. The Cherokee County Regional Airport is in line for $140,000 which will go towards the $200,000 cost for runway rehabilitation. $36,000 is coming to the Spencer Municipal Airport for their $45,000 worth of rehabilitation to hangar approaches. The Emmetsburg Airport will receive $10,500 for pavement maintenance that will cost $15,000.
