Emmetsburg, IA (KICD)–An infant was taken to the hospital following an accident on Friday.
Emmetsburg Police say that Theresa Regehr of Emmetsburg failed to obey a stop sign at the intersection of 7th and King Streets. Regehr pulled her 2002 Chevy Prizm into the path of a 1997 Oldsmobile 88 driven by Susanne Christensen of Ayrshire.
A one-year-old in Regehr’s car was taken to Palo Alto County Hospital for examination. Regehr was cited for failure to obey a stop sign.
Palo Alto County Deputies and Ambulance assisted on scene.
Spencer, IA (KICD)–An alcohol induced accident landed an Everly man in jail Friday afternoon.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says 64-year-old Gary Seversen was traveling west in the 1600 mile of 360th Street at 4:45 p.m. in a 2007 Dodge Pickup. Seversen lost control, entered the south ditch spinning approximately 180 degrees, rolled over onto the passenger side and came to rest. It was found Seversen had been consuming alcoholic beverages and was run through field sobriety tests. Upon completion of the tests, it was determined Seversen had been Operating while Intoxicated and was placed under arrest and was transported to the Clay County Jail w/o incident.
Charges on file include OWI 2nd offense and Failure to Maintain Control.
Storm Lake, IA (KICD)–A Storm Lake man was arrested Saturday in connection to a reported sexual assault.
Storm Lake Police met with a 15-year-old female who alleged that she woke up in her bedroom around 4:30 last Friday morning to 25-year-old Hae Htoo touching her in an inappropriate fashion. The victim exited her bed and attempted to leave the room but Htoo reportedly had locked the door and attempted to hold her in the bedroom. The victim was able to escape and left the room.
Following an investigation police arrested Htoo and charged him with Assault With Intent to Commit Sexual Abused and False Imprisonment. He was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a $3,000 cash bond.

Storm Lake, IA (KICD)–Charges were filed following a late Saturday evening report of harassment near the Super 8 Motel in Storm Lake.
It is alleged that 23-year-old Martin Guillen of Storm Lake asked the victim personal questions and grabbed a woman’s arm while she was walking. Guillen allegedly resisted officers and was subdued.
After being taken into custody Guillen was charged with Public Intoxication 3rd Offense Assault, Harassment and Interference With Official Acts. He was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a $2,900 cash bond.
No injuries were reported.
Dickens, IA (KICD)–A Spencer man was jailed for assault on Sunday.
21-year-old Riley Morton allegedly struck another person in the Dickens area and caused an injury. Morton was taken to Clay County jail and held to appear before the Magistrate.
Sheldon, IA (KICD)–Two from Michigan were arrested on drug charges last week in O’Brien County.
49-year-old Patrick Kus and 53-year-old Bambi Earl of Clio were each charged with possession of marijuana. Kus was also cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Both individuals were released from jail after posting bond.
