Upcoming at Spencer Community Theatre:

The next SCT regular season production will be the Alfred Hitchcock classic “The 39 Steps” April 25th – 27th, and May 2nd – 4th. Tickets are on sale now at the SCT box office.

4/25 Garage Sale at the Post:

The Ladies Auxiliary of the Spencer VFW is holding at garage sale Friday April 25th from noon to 6pm, and Saturday April 26th from 8am to 1pm.

4/26 Celiac Sprue Support Group:

The Northwest Iowa Celiac Sprue Support Group meets Saturday, April 26th from 2-4pm in the Cedar Room at Spencer Hospital. Feel free to bring a gluten free snack and its recipe to share.

4/26 Sandbox Fill in Spencer:

The Spencer Jaycees will fill sandboxes on Saturday, April 26th. Orders must be placed by Friday, April 25th. Order online at spenceriowajaycees@yahoo.com.

4/26 Single’s Dance in Burt:

The Algona Road Runners Single’s Club will hold a dance Saturday night, April 26th at 8pm at the Burt Activity Complex.

4/27 Gospel Concert and Sing Along:

The Watanye Club of Estherville will hold a Gospel Concert and Sing Along to benefit The Emmet County Relay for Life. The event will be held Sunday, April 27th at 2pm at the Methodist Church and a free will offering will be taken.

4/27 Senior Dance in Spirit Lake:

There will be a dance at the Spirit Lake Senior Center Sunday, April 27th from 2 to 5pm. Shirley’s Big Band will play.

4/29 Salad Luncheon in Estherville:

The Estherville Presbyterian Women will host a salad luncheon at the church Tuesday, April 29th from 11am to 1pm. Tickets are $7.

5/1 National Day of Prayer:

The National Day of Prayer will be held Thursday, May 1st. To participate locally you can stop by the Spencer Area Activity Center between 6:30 and 7:45 in the morning. The Spencer Daybreakers Kiwanis will serve rolls, coffee, and juice for a free will donation.

April 17th: Wine and Jewelry 5pm-7pm.

May 10th: Wine Lover’s Dinner. Tickets go on sale April 22nd.

June 24-27th: Sculptures in Terra Cotta 9am-4pm.

Tuesday: 500 and Piano by Madeline.

Wednesday: Exercise and Pass 4 Pinochle.

Thursday: Exercise, bridge, nickel bingo, and Music by Cousin Jerry.

Friday: Exercise and Pass Pinochle.

Clay Central Everly Kindergarten Singup:

The Clay Central Everly school district is planning their staffing needs for next year.   Children who turn 5 before September 15th are eligible to attend Kindergarten. If you have a child who will be attending Clay Central Everly’s kindergarten next year, please contact the school before April 23rd.

Autism Spectrum Support Group of Northwest Iowa

The Autism Spectrum Support Group of Northwest Iowa meets the third Monday of every month from 7pm to 8:30pm at Hope Reformed Church in Spencer. New members are welcome.
