West Bend Fatal



West Bend, IA (KICD)--A Wednesday evening mishap takes the life of a West Bend man.

The Palo Alto County Sheriff says the mishap took place around 10:30 on private property in the 100 block of 7th Street SW in West Bend.  51-year-old Glenn Gearhart ran an ATV into a tree and did not survive.  A 28-year-old passenger was life flighted by Mercy Air Care for treatment of serious injuries.
Agencies assisting include Palo Alto County Ambulance, West Bend Ambulance and First Responders, and Emmetsburg Police.
