U.S. Inspectors Afraid Of Mexican Violence

Spencer, IA: (Sep 17, 2012) - Mexico has opened a new state-of-the-art inspection facility, intended to speed movement of cattle into the United States.

Problem is, U.S. inspectors in charge of checking the animals for dangerous diseases before they are shipped are afraid to show up at the inspection station south of the border because of drug-cartel-related violence.

Bill Hughes, a lawyer for the inspectors says, “These folks are scared skinny. They don’t want to go.”
