Emmetsburg, IA (KICD)--A two county chase ends with the usage of stop sticks.

Shortly after 7:15 Friday night the Palo Alto County Sheriff's Office received notification of an erratic driver heading west on Highway 18, west of Emmetsburg.  A Ford F-250, driven by, 48-year-old Kelly Beightol of Fort Dodge was subsequently located two miles north of Ruthven.  Beightol refused to stop and led the Deputy on a pursuit into Clay County where their Deputies joined in on the chase.  A Clay County Deputy deployed "stop sticks" and punctured the tires of the pickup.  The pursuit ended a mile later after three of the truck's ties were fully deflated.

Beightol was initially charged with OWI 1st offense and eluding.  She was then found to have prescription drugs and a schedule 4 controlled substance on her person and was charged with possession of both.
