Around 12:50 Sunday afternoon, Storm Lake Police were dispatched in reference to a domestic assault. Upon arrival, police met with an adult female victim who said that her husband, 36-year old Manuel Lopez-Reynoso had just come to her apartment and allegedly refused to leave until the police were called. He was gone when police arrived.
The female further told police that around 1:30 Sunday morning at the Tequila Latin Club, the female said Raynoso assaulted her and choked at the night club.
While at the residence, police observed Reynoso exit a neighboring apartment at which time he was taken into custody without incident.
Following an investigation Storm Lake Police charged Reynoso with Domestic Assault - Strangulation (aggravated misdemeanor) and Criminal Trespass. He was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail and held without bond.
No injuries were reported.
