Pacific Junction, IA (KICD) -- An Orange City woman is dead following an accident in southern Iowa.
The Iowa State Patrol said the Monday accident on Interstate 29, near Pacific Junction, took the life of 54-year old Rebecca Kleinwolterink.
59-year old Galen Kleinwolterink of Orange City was southbound in a 2005 Chevy Uplander, when the rear driver s side tire went flat, causing Kleinwolterink to lose control. The Uplander entered the west ditch, rolling several times.
Rebecca Kleinwolterink was a passenger, in the vehicle, and was not wearing a seatbelt, and was ejected from the vehicle. She was taken to Creighton Medical Center after being transported by Lifenet Helicopter. She was pronounced dead at the Center. Galen was wearing his seatbelt, and had received minor injuries.
