The Sheldon Police said the Tuesday accident occurred shortly before noon, as 75-year old Jeanne Feekes was driving a 2012 Ford SUV north in the Prairie Court parking lot.
Feekes allegedly accidently stepped on the accelerator instead of the brake, resulting in the Ford striking a light pole, in the lot. Feekes was injured in the crash, and was taken to Sanford Sheldon by the Sheldon Community Ambulance Team..
The Ford received approximately $4000 damage, while the damage to the pole was estimated at $1500.
