The O'Brien County Sheriffs Office said the accident occurred near the train derailment site at Ritter, about 3 miles north of Sheldon, around 6:35 Monday morning.
47-year old Charles Stone of Douglasville, Georgia was driving a 2009 Volvo Semi truck northbound on Highway 60, when he lost control on the icy roadway. The semi entered the west ditch, and rolled onto it's top.
Stone received possible injuries, as he was wearing lap and shoulder restraints. The semi was a specialized equipment truck, with attached equipment that was used to work on railroad tracks. Estimated damage to the semi was $1,000,000 dollars.
