Police Reports

Storm Lake, IA (KICD)---Storm Lake patrol officers spotted two juveniles hiding behind a snow bank around 12:30 this [Wednesday] morning.

Police stopped to tale with the two -- age 14 and 15 -- near East 9th and Erie Streets.   Authorities allege the two had been drinking alcohol at a home in the 300 block of East 9th Street.

The boys were arrested and charged with possession of alcohol and a curfew violation.   Both were processed and released to a parent.

Officers then went to the home where the boys reportedly got the alcohol and found a 13 and 15 year old girl.   Investigators gathered enough evidence to charge both with possession of alcohol.   They were cited and released to a parent with a pending court date.

A driver stopped by Storm Lake Police allegedly gave them false information.

Authorities say they knew the driver --30 year old Larson Alpet from Storm Lake -- had a revoked driver's license when they pulled him over.

Officers allege Alpet gave them false identification.

Alpet is charged with driving while revoked and interference with official acts.  He's in the Buena Vista County Jail on a thousand dollar cash bond.

A Storm Lake man -- wanted on a number of charges -- was arrested  Tuesday afternoon.

Police say they went to an office in the 300 block of Expansion Boulevard and found 39 year old Brian Miller.

Buena Vista County warrants charge him with 8 counts of evading Iowa Income tax, 7 counts of second degree fraudulent practices and one count of forth degree fraudulent practices.

Miller was booked into the Buena Vista County jail and later released with a court date.
