Operation Fall Harvest



Storm Lake, IA--The Storm Lake Police Department and Buena Vista County Sheriff's Department announce twenty two arrests were made on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 in connection with a series of drug related investigations that spanned the past seven months.

The enforcement action on Wednesday, which was dubbed “Operation Fall Harvest”, was the culmination of a series of both related and independent drug investigations conducted in Storm Lake and other areas of Buena Vista County. The investigations centered on the illegal distribution and use of marijuana, crack cocaine, methamphetamine, and ecstasy.

The investigations were conducted by the Storm Lake Police Department and Buena Vista County Sheriff's Department supported by the Alta Police Department and the US Department of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (ATF).

On Wednesday twenty law enforcement officers from both the Storm Lake Police Department and Buena Vista County Sheriff's Department, supported by the Newell Police Department, Buena Vista County Sheriff's Reserve, and the Iowa Department of Narcotics Enforcement (DNE) executed arrest warrants throughout the day. Also assisting in arresting suspects in Operation Fall Harvest were the Sioux City Police Department, Spencer Police Department, the Cherokee County Sheriff's Department, and the Burnsville, MN Police Department.

Those arrested are as follows:

Frederick Scott, age 22 of Storm Lake was charged with Ongoing Criminal Conduct (class B felony), 2 counts of Delivery of Crack Cocaine (class C felony), and Conspiracy to Deliver Crack Cocaine (class C felony). He was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a $50,000.00 cash bond.

Cornelius Scott, age 25 of Storm Lake was charged with Delivery of a Controlled Substance – Marijuana (class D felony). Scott was booked into the county jail on a $5,000.00 cash bond.

Ismail Noor, age 27 of Storm Lake was charged with Aiding and Abetting the Delivery of Ecstasy (class C felony). He was booked into the county jail on a $50,000.00 cash bond.

Donald Sherman, age 48 of Alta, IA was charged with Delivery of Marijuana (Class D felony). He was booked into the county jail on a $5,000.00 cash bond.

Marciano Martinez, age 43 of Storm Lake was charged with Possession of Marijuana (serious misdemeanor). He was booked into the county jail on a $1,000.00 cash bond.

Gonzalo Renteria, age 18 of Storm Lake was charged with Delivery of Methamphetamine (class C felony). He was also wanted on an outstanding warrant for Contempt of Court. He was booked into the county jail on a $50,000.00 cash bond.

Lauren Lepinsky, age 20 of Storm Lake was charged with 2 counts of Delivery of Crack Cocaine (class C felony). She was booked into the county jail on a $50,000.00 cash bond.

Michael Miranda, age 35 of Storm Lake was charged with Delivery of Methamphetamine (class C felony). He was booked into the county jail on a $50,000.00 cash bond.

Razelle Tabb, age 24 of Storm Lake was charged with Gathering Where Controlled Substance is Used (serious misdemeanor). She was booked into the county jail on a $1,000.00 cash bond.

Leon Banks, age 28 of Storm Lake was charged with Delivery of Simulated Crack Cocaine (class C felony). He was booked into the county jail on a $50,000.00 cash bond.

JT Cunningham, age 21 of Storm Lake was charged with Ongoing Criminal Conduct (class B felony), Conspiracy to Deliver Simulated Crack Cocaine (class C felony), and Delivery of Marijuana (class D felony). He was booked into the county jail on a $50,000.00 cash bond.

Erika Latiker, age 23 of Storm Lake was charged with Gathering Where Controlled Substances are Used (serious misdemeanor). She was booked into the county jail on a $1,000.00 cash bond.

Shari Wheeler, age 19 of Storm Lake was charged with Gathering Where Controlled Substances are Used (serious misdemeanor). Wheeler was booked into the county jail on a $1,000.00 cash bond.

Ryan Schaffer, age 19 of Newell, IA was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (serious misdemeanor) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (simple misdemeanor). He was booked into the county jail on a $1,000.00 cash bond.

Keoouthay “Tony” Thongvanh, age 29 of Storm Lake was charged with Ongoing Criminal Conduct (class B felony), 3 counts of Delivery of Methamphetamine (class C felony), and Conspiracy to Deliver Methamphetamine (class C felony). He was booked into the county jail on a $50,000.00 cash bond.

Bounmy Senaphan, age 26 of Storm Lake was charged with 3 counts of Delivery of Methamphetamine (class C felony) and 2 counts of Ongoing Criminal Conduct (class B felony). He was booked into the county jail on a $50,000.00 cash bond.

Derrick Roberts, age 41 of Storm Lake was charged with Delivery of Marijuana (class D felony). He was booked into the county jail on a $5,000.00 cash bond.

William Wilson, age 18 of Storm Lake was charged with Gathering Where Controlled Substances are Used (serious misdemeanor). He was booked into the county jail on a $1,000.00 cash bond.

Francisco Aldaba, age 24 of Storm Lake charged with Delivery of Marijuana (class D felony) and Violation of a Drug Tax Stamp (class D felony). He was booked into the county jail on a $5,000.00 cash bond.

Heather Thomas, age 19 of Spencer, IA was charged with Delivery of Marijuana (class D felony). She was arrested in Burnsville, Minnesota and is being held pending extradition.

Michael Lofton, age 24 of Storm Lake was charged with Possession of Marijuana (serious misdemeanor). He was booked into the county jail on a $1,000.00 cash bond

Eris Antonio Martinez, age 18 of Sioux City, IA was charged with Ongoing Criminal Conduct (class B felony) and 3 counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance (class C felony). He’s being held in the Woodbury County Jail on a $75,000.00 cash bond pending a transfer to the Buena Vista County Jail.

Operation Fall Harvest continues and additional wanted subjects are being sought.

All defendants are considered innocent until proven guilty.
