O'Brien Accident



Sheldon, IA (KICD)--An Everly man is taken to the hospital following a Thursday morning mishap in O'Brien County.

The Iowa State Patrol says 42-year-old Michael Thiel was heading west on Highway 18 shortly before noon.  As Thiel attempted to turn right onto Tyler Avenue his truck overturned onto its side, partially spilling his load of hog feed into the ditch.  His vehicle came to rest on its left side in the northbound lane of Tyler Avenue.

Thiel suffered head injuries and did not remember any details.  He was taken to Sanford Hospital in Sheldon by ambulance.  Thiel was cited for failure to maintain control.
