NWICC Bond Vote

Sheldon, IA (KICD)--Voters turn down a bond issue for Northwest Iowa Community College for the 3rd time.

Unofficial results show 54.33 percent voted in favor falling short of the 60 percent majority needed to pass.

Lyon, O’Brien, Osceola, and the Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn School District in Cherokee County all voted in favor. Sioux County voted against by a count of 1410-1110. The final vote tally was 3,278 in favor and 2,756 against.
