Murder Trials Continued



Spencer, IA (KICD)--The jury trials for a pair of Spencer men facing 1st degree murder charges have been continued.
Online court records show the trial for 21-year-old Christopher Fitzpatrick, originally slated to start this Tuesday, has been continued to April 30th. Pre-trial is scheduled for March 1st.

The trial for 21-year-old Cody Millard is now scheduled for June 4th with pre-trial slated for May 6th.

Fitzpatrick and Millard face the murder charges in connection with an early morning incident in which 59-year-old Edward Kitto of Spencer was found beaten and unresponsive in the backyard of a Spencer home August 27th. Kitto died two weeks later at a Sioux Falls Hospital.
