SIbley, IA (KICD)--A suspected mountain lion puts a scare into a jogger.

Around 9:30 Monday morning a woman was jogging in Sibley when she spotted what she believed to be a mountain lion near some railroad tracks.  The woman did not have a cell phone on her and by the time she contacted the Osceola County Sheriff the animal was long gone.

Authorities took pictures of the tracks and compared them with online images that indicate the animal was indeed a mountain lion, although likely a small one.  No official confirmation has come from the Iowa DNR.
