Milford Field Fire

Milford, IA (KICD)--Milford Firefighters are called to a field fire west of Milford shortly before 4:30 Monday afternoon.

Several area farmers with disks assisted in the extinguishment of the blaze at 1557 220th Street. Approximately 30 acres of corn stubble were burned, and firefighters were on scene until shortly after 6:00 p.m. mopping up hotspots.

The National Weather Service lists the Grassland Fire Danger Index in the High category for today.
