Spirit Lake, IA (KICD)--Drug charges are filed against two individuals by Spirit Lake Police.
A complaint of possible drug usage at an apartment was looked into Tuesday evening. A search warrant was obtained and subsequent charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia were filed against 26-year-old William Clinkenbeard of Spirit Lake and 37-year-old Heather Clinkenbeard of Spencer. Both were booked into Dickinson County jail.
The Dickinson County Sheriff's Office assisted.
Storm Lake, IA (KICD)--A belligerent man at a polling location lands a trip to the Buena Vista County jail.
Shortly before 6:00 Tuesday evening Storm Lake Police were called to a disturbance at the Storm Lake Fire Station. The suspect, 42-year-old James Baudendistel of Storm Lake, had departed but was stopped shortly thereafter.
Baudendistel was intoxicated and had a 5-year-old child in his car who was unharmed and released him to his mother at their home.
It is alleged that Baudendistel engaged in belligerent behavior towards a volunteer in the polling location and when he was asked to be more respectful he acted aggressive as if he were going to fight one of the election volunteers.
Following an investigation Storm Lake Police charged Baudendistel with OWI, Child Endangerment, Public Intoxication, Disorderly Conduct, No Drivers License and Open Container. He was held in jail on a $3,600 cash bond.
A report has been forwarded to the Iowa Department of Human Services.
Round Lake, MN (KICD) -- Three from Round Lake were injured in a head on crash.
The Jackson County Sheriffs Office says around 5:36 Tuesday evening, a 1998 Dodge Ram pickup, driven by 57-year old Michael Sammons, was eastbound on 720th Street, near Round Lake, when he collided head on with a westbound 2000 Ford Super duty truck, driven by 48-year old Bruce Ihnen.
Both drivers and a passenger in the Dodge, 47-year old Ronda Sammons were transported to the Worthington Hospital, after which Michael and Ronda Sammons were transferred to a Sioux Falls Hospital.
Assisting in the incident wa the Round Lake fire Department, Worthington Ambulance Service, the Minnesota DNR, Minnesota State Patrol, and Lakefield Fire and Ambulance Service.
