Arnolds Park, IA (KICD)--An Arnolds Park man is injured in a Sunday evening Dickinson County mishap.
The Iowa Sate Patrol says 27-year-old Jake Huse of Arnolds Park was heading south on Highway 71 near Lake Street at 6:12 p.m. on a 2006 Harley Davidson. Huse came to a confluence in which the single southbound lane splits into two lanes. Upon entering the confluence Huse passed a car and overtook another. He lost control and rolled the bike onto its side. The driver of the vehicle being overtaken may have been changing lanes to the left or swerving over the lane line.
Huse, who had been drinking prior to the accident, was taken to Lakes Regional Healthcare with incapacitating injuries. Huse's head struck the ground and he was not wearing a helmet.
Storm Lake, IA (KICD)--Storm Lake Police are able to track down a wanted man.
On June 18th Police took a report of a possible sexual assault of a child which occurred during the summer of 2009. After investigation it was alleged that 50-year-old Sylvester Simon of St. Paul, formerly of Storm Lake, sexually assaulted a 4 year old child in Storm Lake. A class B felony warrant for 2nd degree sex abuse was subsequently issued.
Police determined that Simon moved to St. Paul and on Wednesday he was arrested by St. Paul Police, He is Simon is being held on a $25,000 cash bond in Minnesota awaiting extradition.
Those assisting include Iowa Department of Human Services, Mercy Medical Center Child Advocacy Center, and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
Spencer, IA (KICD)--A Spencer woman faces a class D felony count of OWI 3rd offense.
46-year-old Marilyn Kirk was stopped by a Clay County Deputy late Tuesday evening. After investigation Kirk was charged with driving while revoked, open container, and OWI 3rd offense. She was held to appear before the magistrate.
