Storm Lake, IA (KICD)--The trial for a Rembrandt man facing 66 charges of sexually abusing two teenage girls has been continued.

36-year-old Cory Wernimont is accused of sexually abusing a pair of 15-year-old females.

A jury trial date is scheduled for January 8th with a pretrial set for December 20th.
Spencer, IA (KICD)--A quartet of Spencer teens are arrested on drug charges.

Spencer Police say that three 16-year-old males and a 15-year-old male were arrested late Friday evening. Charges for each include possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

All of the teens were processed and released to parents.

Storm Lake, IA (KICD)--A likely suicide situation is being investigated by the Buena Vista County Sheriff's Office.

On Monday evening authorities received a report of a man lying on the ground next to a pickup south of Storm Lake. The man appeared to have a self-inflicted gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 25-year-old white male's body has been submitted for an autopsy.

Agencies assisting include the Sac County Sheriff's Office, Buena Vista Regional Medical Center EMS, and the Buena Vista County Medical Examiner.

Hospers, IA (KICD)--Sioux County authorities are looking into a pair of burglaries.

The first incident took place at Kelly’s Drive Inn and Pizza in Hospers sometime late Friday or early Saturday. An undetermined amount of cash was taken.

An attempted burglary took place over the weekend at Maurice Tire and Repair.
