On the topic of the fiscal cliff King believes that the worst scenario if no deal is reached would be triggering the death tax deduction to $1 million.
King tells KICD News that he is having a hard time coming up with a prediction on how things will play out .
King believes if significant spending cuts are not a part of the plan there is no motivation to move forward with a deal. King adds that while there are many behind the scenes discussion on the issue, any agreement will come down to a negotiation between President Obama and House Speaker John Boehner.
Ultimately King believes that a deal will be reached but it is too early to tell exactly what that would entail. At the end of the day however, King feels that neither of the current proposals is responsible enough for where the budget needs to be.
