Homecoming Fatal 30th Anniversary



Spencer, IA (KICD)--As Spencer celebrates Homecoming week we are reminded of a tragic event that took place on Homecoming weekend 30 years ago that took the life of three young men.

Paul Morony, who was involved in the fatal October 9th accident, harkens back for KICD News.

Morony spent about a week and a half in intensive care and another three weeks in the hospital before being released.

Morony will be speaking at an assembly being held at the Spencer Fieldhouse this coming Friday at 10:30 a.m.

 
A rededication of the memorial will be held prior to Friday night's football game.  All from the public are welcome to attend the assembly.

A memorial fund has been set up at Farmers Bank to help pay for any future upkeep or repairs for the flagpole memorial.
