Farm Futures Survey Suggests Lower 2012 Corn Production



Spencer, IA: (Jan 04, 2013) - A survey by Farm Futures Magazine shows growers raised less corn in 2012 than previously thought, which was not surprising, given the drought.  But Senior Editor Bryce Knorr says what was surprising was…………..


Knorr expects a lot of acres to be planted to corn this year, and he says corn prices likely will be lower this year.


Knorr says producers in drought areas who had upgraded their crop revenue insurance were glad they did so.


 
The magazine surveyed about 1500 farmers to come up with the results.
