Estherville, IA (KICD)--Estherville Police are asking the public to be on alert.

Numerous reports of cars being broken into over the early morning hours have been coming in. Citizens are encouraged to not leave valuable items in vehicles and to always lock up homes, garages, and vehicles. If you happen to catch a robber in the act, do not try to apprehend them and contact authorities immediately.
